On the Teaching of English Writing in Middle School

摘  要

英語寫作作爲英語語言學習的1個重要方面,在中學英語教學中已經得到了越來越高的重視。教師在中學階段必須重視寫作,使學生在中學階段學會和掌握英語寫作的技巧和方法,爲學生今後進1步深造或進入社會用英語進行交際打下良好的基礎。由於寫作地位的提高,給中學英語寫作也提出了更高的要求。筆者選取本選題意在表明英語寫作教學在中學階段的重要性,並在闡述學生經常出現的寫作問題上指出了相應的教學策略,希望給教師和中學生1些啓發。本課題簡單闡述了中學生英語寫作中普遍存在的5個問題:1、對英語寫作存在心理障礙,比如畏懼心理等;2、中學生英語作文存在大量“中國式英語”,即學生經常借用漢語思維進行英語寫作,使得文中出現不符合英文習慣的句子和表達;3、中學生在進行英語寫作時經常犯言內錯誤,言內錯誤指學生在用詞,造句及句法等方面經常容易犯的錯誤;4、中學生在面臨所給的作文題目時不知道如何審題,寫出來的作文中心思想不明確;5、中學生英語作文普遍存在內容單調貧乏的'問題。針對學生存在的問題,本課題指出了相應的教學策略:1、培養學生在寫作中的積極情感;2、讀寫結合,以讀促寫;3、培養學生的文化底蘊;4、培養學生的讀者因素;5、指導學生構思文章。

ABSTRACT

English writing, as one of the most important aspects of language acquisition, has earned increasing attention in middle school. English teacher should pay attention to writing and teach students to master the techniques and methods of writing, which will be helpful for students’ further education and communicating with others in English. As the position of writing has been improved, it requires higher requirement for English writing teaching. The author wrote this thesis to indicate the importance of English writing in middle school. The author also offered some suggestions according to the main problems that often occur in students’ writing. The author hopes that the teachers and students can benefit from it after reading the thesis. This paper gives a simple idea about the problems existing in students’ writing: 1) psychological blockage, such as anxiety, lack of interest so on and so forth. 2) Chinglish frequently appears in Chinese students’ composition. That is to say Chinese students often use Chinese way of thinking to writing English composition. 3) When Chinese students write, they usually commit intralingual error. Intralingual error is the mistake that students often make when they choosing words, making sentences. It also includes grammar mistake. 4) Chinese students often don’t know how to organize the ideas  when they face the composition to written by most of Chinese students don’t have clear topic sentence. 5) Chinese students’ compositions are usually very boring and dull. Based on the problems that exit in Chinese students’ composition, this paper put forward five teaching strategies: 1) English teachers should foster positive emotion when they teach writing. 2) English teachers should combine writing with reading. 3) English teachers should make students aware of the culture background of English-speaking countries. 4) English teachers should cultivate students reader dimension. 5) English teachers should guide students how to plan a composition.
