七條建議幫你打造最佳簡歷
  Want more interviews? Job searches in tough timeslike now demand polished resumes more than ever. If you areattempting to write your own resume, these seven tips are importantto follow:

  1. Select the best format. 選擇最佳格式

  While most resumes are written in ahistory chronological format, often a better technique is to evenlybalance between skill-set description, achievements, andemployment。

  多數簡歷是按照時間順序寫的,可是通常更好地做法是掌握好“技能描述”、“業績”和“工作情況”之間的平衡。

  2. Make certain your document is error free.

  確保簡歷文字準確無誤

  Since you are familiar with your ownwriting, you will "see" what you were thinking and not what isactually on the page. Do not rely on yourself to proofread yourwork and do not rely on spell-check. Find a friend who has stronggrammar skills to check your work。

  因爲人們熟悉自己的文字,所以“看到的”是自己所想的`,而不是實際寫在紙上的。不要自己來檢查,不要靠拼寫工具檢查。請一位語法很強的朋友來檢查你製作好的簡歷。

  3. Find a balance between wordiness and lack of detail。

  “簡”和“繁”的平衡

  Employers need to see details about yourwork history and experience, but they don't need to knoweverything. The fact that you were den leader in your Cub Scouttroop is irrelevant. Keep information germane to the goal ofattaining an interview. Eliminate information that is not relatedand will not have a direct impact on winning theinterview。

  4. Do not use personal pronouns。不要用人稱代詞

  "I," "me," "my," "mine," and "our" shouldnot be on a resume. Resumes are written in first person (implied)ple: For your prior job description, instead of writing: "Ihired, trained and supervised a team of assistant managers andsales associates" you would instead state that you "Hired, trainedand supervised a team of assistant managers and sales associates."Fragment sentences are perfectly acceptable on a resume andactually preferred。

  “我”,“我的”,“我們的”不應該出現在簡歷中。簡歷都是以(隱藏的)第一人稱來書寫的。例如:描述上一份工作時,不要寫成“我曾參與招聘、培訓、管理經理助理及銷售助手”,而是“招聘、培訓、管理經理助手及銷售助手”。簡歷上出現“片段句”完全可以,而且在實際中會更受青睞。

  5. Use numerical symbols for numbers. 以阿拉伯數字代替文字

  While we are taught in school to spellout numbers less than ten, in resume writing, numerical symbolsserve as "eye stops" and are a much better method. Instead ofwriting "Developed a dynamic team of eight consultants." it wouldbe much more advantageous to state "Developed a dynamic team of 8consultants."

  雖然上學時老師教我們“十”以下的數字都要大寫,阿拉伯數字卻可以吸引人們的目光、是更好的數字表示方法。不要寫成“建設了一隻包括八名顧問,充滿活力的團隊”,寫成“建設了一隻包括8名顧問,充滿活力的團隊”會更能獲得優勢。

  6. Think "accomplishments" rather than "job duties。

  "注重“業績”而不是“職責”

  What makes you stand out from the crowd?How did you come up with a way to do things better, moreefficiently, or for less cost? What won honors for you? Informationsuch as this is vital, will grab attention, and put your resume atthe top of the list。

  讓你出衆的是什麼?怎樣才能把事情做地更好、更有效率,成本更小?你因爲什麼贏得過榮譽?這些是很重要的資訊,會吸引目光,會讓你的簡歷獲得優先考慮。

  7. Keep it positive. 傳遞積極態度

  Reasons for leaving a job and setbacks donot have a place on a resume. Employers are seeking people who cancontribute and have successfully performed in the past. Concentrateon communicating these issues and avoid any detractinginformation。

  離職的原因和過去的挫折都不該出現在簡歷上。僱主們要找的是過去表現成功、能做出貢獻的人。集中精力傳遞這些資訊、迴避任何轉移注意力的資訊。

  Remember, many first-time job interviewsare conducted via telephone rather than in person. Make sure youare prepared for that telephone call when it arrives. And make sureyou have a resume that will make the phone ring!
