技巧一：主旨要義題
a. 儘量在腦海中描述出正進行的對話：對誰在進行對話，在哪裏進行對話做一定的假設;
b. 尤其注意聽一些關鍵詞，被重複的`詞等等;
c. 對所聽到的內容進行歸納，什麼是中心思想;
d. 特別注意提問句，因爲對話通常是一問一答，答的內容通常是圍繞問題展開的。
常見的就對話主題而提的問題有：

What are the speakers mainly discussing?
What is the subject of this conversation?
What is the main idea of the conversation?
Which of the following best summarizes the conversation?
技巧二：身份職業題
身份職業題主要考點：說話者的身份、職業以及兩者的關係等。

2、Who are the speakers?
3、What is the relationship between the two speakers?
4、Who is the woman/man speaking to?

Hospital/Clinic: prescription, symptom, temperature, cold, fever, stomachache, pain, trouble
Restaurant: menu, soup, drink, beverage, dish, beef, chicken, order, bill
Airport/Station: train, coach, car, timetable, take off, passenger
Post Office: parcel, package, stamp, letter, airmail, regular mail, postage, rate
