As we said in our last report, there has been a sudden increase in our correspondences with foreign colleges and universities. Our printer, old and unusable, can not meet the increased demand. Therefore, we were applying for a new one.

We Do Need English 我們需要英語
Recently, Beijing Education Department has announced that the full mark of English in the college entrance examination in2016 will be 100 points, which has dropped 50 points from previous years. While the Chinese will be 180 points, the mathematics remains the same, still 150points. After the news has been exploded, this policy has caused great attention among the public. Some people even wonder: do we still need English as before? And the status of English still remains the same in China? Well, asfar as I am concern, English still an indispensable part of our daily lives.
最近，北京市教育局宣佈2016年的高考英語總分將爲100分，較之前的150分下降了50分。而語文將提高到180分，數學保持不變。此消息一出，就引起了社會的極大關注。有人甚至問到：我們還像過去那樣需要英語嗎？英語在中國的地位是否保持不變？在我看來，英語始終在我們的生活中是不可缺的一部分。
Firstly, English language is of crucial important in international cooperation and exchange. In this competitive world,no country can survive without any other contact with other countries. And through out all the interactions, English, as a global language, is the bridgefor us to communicate with other people who from different culture, different countries. Two thirds of the world trade is conducted in English. In order to perform our duties and enjoy our rights as a significant member of WTO, we doneed English by all means.
英語在國際合作與交流中有着重要作用。在這個充滿競爭的世界裏，每個國家都要與其他國家進行交流溝通，免得就不能生存。而英語，作爲全球通用的語言，起到了橋樑的作用，幫助不同文化背景的人們順利溝通。世界上三分之二的貿易用英語完成。爲了更好的享受和履行我們在國際貿易組織的權利和義務，我們無論如何都需要英語。
Secondly, English is compulsory inelementary, secondary and further education. One has to pass the English tests to get his certifications. Although we don’t need English so much in our daily lives, when we turn on the computer, listen to the radio, we may find English is everywhere. So, it’s quite necessary for all of us to master a foreign language. Even in the developed countries, students are required tolearn at least one foreign language. And learning English makes contributions to one’s development to some extent.
其二，英語在小學、初中、高等教育中都是必修語言。只有透過了英語考試，才能拿到畢業證書。雖然在日常生活中我們不怎麼用到英語，但是當我們開啟電腦，收聽錄音，我們就會發現英語無處不在。所以，掌握一門外語很重要。即使在發達國家，每個學生都會要求學至少一門外語。英語也爲個人發展做出一定得貢獻。
Although the English marks of college entrance examination will drop to 100, we still need English in our daily lives. With the rapid development of economic and cultural globalization,learning English is still the tendency for the young generations. It’s not only the tool for people to communicate, but also the golden key to get personal development.
雖然高考英語總分會降爲100分，但在日常生活中，我們還是需要英語。隨着經濟的快速發展和文化的全球化，學習英語依舊是年輕一代的趨勢。英語不光光是人們用來交流的工具，也是個人發展的金鑰匙。

Studies show that an increasing number of people throughout the world today are spending one fourth of their incomes on entertainment. This suggests a abrupt change in personal views on pastime and leisure expenditures. And, unnecessarily, entertainment has become a trend that satisfies our special needs.
研究表明，在全世界，越來越多的人都在娛樂上花費了四分之一的收入。這意味着個人觀點的突然變化，在消遣和休閒支出。而且，不必要的`，娛樂已經成爲一種趨勢，滿足我們的特殊需求。
Generally, entertainment falls into two different categories: physical and intellectual. Physical entertainment refers to those activities that work to help us keep healthy while playing with certain relaxing games, as football games, though regarded as a kind of sports, usually teaches us how to effectively cooperate with people. In Children's part, this kind of games would make them good players in their later lives, in different sectors. We encourage physical entertainments since health works out a better life for us. While, on the other hand, intellectual activities have appeared to be more and more appreciated by certain education experts, which is frequently seen in the sectors of psychological training, intellectual games, etc. This kind of activities, needless to mention, provide us with personal experiences through games. They seem to be quite educative and instructive in cultivating our own potentials for success or an understanding of life and human existance.
一般而言，娛樂分爲不同的類別：身體與智力。體育娛樂是指那些在玩遊戲時能幫助我們保持身體健康的活動，作爲一種體育運動，通常教我們如何與人進行有效的合作。在孩子們的一部分，這種遊戲會讓他們在以後的生活中，在不同的行業，他們的好球員。我們鼓勵體育娛樂因爲健康的作品爲我們更好的生活。而另一方面，智力活動似乎越來越受到某些教育專家的讚賞，這是心理訓練、智力遊戲等領域中經常出現的一種活動，不必說，爲我們提供了個人經歷的遊戲。他們似乎相當的教育和指導培養我們自己的潛力成功或對生活的理解與人的存在。
Well, both kinds entertainments would be playing important roles in our life. Physical entertainments, any way, build up sound health for us while the later, a sound mental status for us. And, physical health could be attained through other forms of exercises while intellectual growth seems to be more important because intellectuality is the source all kinds of creations.

My favourite job 我最喜歡的工作
We all know about that there are various kinds of jobs in the world, but what kind of job do you like?Because different people are attracted by different jobs, everyone has his own interest and destination, For example Many people consider an ideal job as a means of making more money and living more comfortably. It may sound reasonable because money is the foundation of life.
我們都知道，這個世界上有許多不同的工作，但是做什麼工作纔是你最喜歡的呢?人與人之間興趣不同，個性各異，所以大家對工作的選擇也是不一樣的。例如，許多人把一個理想的工作當做是賺更多的錢和活得更舒服的手段。這也許聽起來很合理，因爲金錢是生活的基礎。
As far as my ideal job is concerned, I think I want to be a psychologist. I have made up my mind to do what I really want to so that I can realize my idea. I believe interest is of the utmost importance in choosing a job. I have been interested in psychology for a long time, so I want to be a psychologist in the future. I think being a psychologist can help lots of people lead a happier life.
至於我的理想工作，我想成爲一名心理學家。我已下定決心要做我真正想要做的事，這樣我纔可以實現我的理想。我堅信在擇業中，興趣是最重要的。很久以前我就對心理學感興趣，所以我將來想成爲一名心理學家。我覺得成爲一個心理學家可以幫助很多人過一個更快樂的生活。
However, it isn't easy for me to become a qualified psychologist and many people around me think that it's unrealistic to me. NevertheLess, I'll make every effort to gain much more knowLedge, patience, methods, etc. to live up to the name of a qualified psychologist, I believe my dream will come true someday.
但是,成爲一個合格的心理學家對於我來說並不容易而且我周圍的許多人都認爲這對我來說是不現實的。不過，我將盡一切努力來獲得更多的知識、耐心、方法等來配得上合格的心理學家這個名字。我相信我的夢想總有一天會實現的。
新聞媒體在社會中的重要性 The importance of news media in society
I think the news media mainly plays two important roles in modern society – providing information and influencing public opinion – and I think its influence is generally positive. Obviously, the news media provides people with vast amounts of information in various forms. We can access it by listening to the radio, reading newspapers and magazines, watching television and by surfing the Internet. The ability to access news media is important for inpiduals and organisations because we make many decisions based on the news provided to us. Some of these decisions are mundane. We check the weather forecast to see whether we should take an umbrella to work. Other news, such as that about the business world, could influence whether we invest our savings in certain companies listed on the stock exchange. The news is often presented to us in certain ways, using specific words to try to control our feelings and thoughts. This can be the main negative influence of the news media. Very often, the news media portrays people in simplistic ways, giving us some facts, but not the whole story. In the USA, some news media tends to support the Republicans whilst others tend towards the Democrats and the portrayal of inpiduals can reflect this. This is somewhat inevitable, because the editors, journalists and owners of the news media have opinions and biases. So, I think that it would be better if people checked news stories from different sources instead of only using one source. Despite the fact that the news media can report events incorrectly or with bias, I think that the general influence on society is good. More factual information gives us the chance to make better decisions, both in our personal lives and in our working lives.
