摘 要：採用女性視角來平行研究《生命中不能承受之輕》與《傾城之戀》中的3位女性。對於特麗莎與白流蘇的研究主要是研究她們對待男人、愛情、婚姻的異同，薩賓娜與白流蘇的研究主要是從個性差異入手的。透過這些研究得出了她們鮮明的個性，特麗莎是軟弱的，薩賓娜是叛逆的，白流蘇是柔中帶剛的。愛是特麗莎的信仰，背叛是薩賓娜的最愛，她倆的存在構成了生活的兩極——輕與重、靈與肉。白流蘇以婚姻爲事業的生活，是當時中國普遍存在因沒有經濟基礎而依賴丈夫過着“寄生”生活的無奈女性的寫照。總之3位女性的生活都不是理想的，特麗莎與白流蘇都受制於生活的重，顯得被動，薩賓娜則被生活的輕所牽制而使生活的意義被消解。
