魔法教母、《哈利波特》作者J.K羅琳2008年在哈佛大學發表畢業演講。她在演講中回顧了自己青年時期困苦卻意義非凡的經歷，稱自己從失敗中學到了成功。她引用哲學家塞內加的名言送給畢業生：
