I am writing to thank you for your congratulations on my success in the translation contest. In your letter, you told me that you wanted to know how to do well in translation. Here are some pieces of advice.
First, you need to grasp the basic grammar knowledge, which enables to you to understand the sentences correctly and translate the original language to the target language properly. Second, a wide range of extensive knowledge in different fields is preferred because the more you know, the easier it is for you to make clear what the passage is talking about.

書信寫作總體概述
1.首段
1)問候收信人
例：Dear Sir/Madam
2)解釋來信原因
例：I’m writing for ……
2.中間段落
1)閱讀題幹要求，從中尋找名詞或動詞
例：Write a letter of application according to the following situation. You saw an advertisement in this morning’s newspaper .A company need’s a secretary and you are interested. Write an application letter to that company.
2)注意題目文字暗示，把名詞具體化，把動詞近義詞化。
例：I am pleased to discover from Beijing Youth that your company is calling for a secretary……
3.結尾段落
例：I would appreciate your assistance in this matter. If you have any question , please don’t hesitate to contact me. I can be reached forward to your reply.
4.署名
在文章右下角署名，一般格式爲：Yours sincerely……
▶書信寫作分類講解(寫作脈絡)
1.投訴信
投訴信通常包括：說明投訴原因並表示遺憾，實事求是闡述問題發生的經過，指出問題引起的後果，提出批評及處理意見，督促對方採取措施，提出所希望的賠償及補救方式。
2.建議信
建議信即寫給某個組織或機構，就改進其服務質量提出建議忠告;或寫給個人，就某一重大事件提出自己的看法、建議及觀點。
3.道歉信
投訴信通常包括：表示歉意、闡明表示歉意的具體原因，提出補救辦法，再次表示致歉，並希望得到諒解，提供合適的補救辦法。(要注意語言的誠摯)
4.感謝信
感謝信中通常帶有濃厚的感情色彩，是所有書信中最帶有“人情味”的，該書信內容通常包括：表達感謝之情並說明原因--提及自己曾受到對方的幫助--再次感謝並表達回報願望。
