005、Can papyrus grow tall where there is no marsh? Can reeds thrive without water?
蒲草沒有泥，豈能髮長。蘆荻沒有水，豈能生髮。
006、Is not wisdom found among the aged? Does not long life bring understanding?
年老的有智慧，壽高的有知識。
007、The lamp of the wicked is snuffed out; the flame of his fire stops burning.
惡人的亮光必要熄滅。他的火焰必不照耀。
008、that the mirth of the wicked is brief, the joy of the godless lasts but a moment.
惡人誇勝是暫時的，不敬虔人的喜樂，不過轉眼之間。

銀子有礦，鍊金有方。鐵從地裏挖出，銅從石中溶化。

不可像那無知的騾馬，必用嚼環轡頭勒住他，不然，就不能順服。

君王不能因兵多得勝。勇士不能因力大得救。
025、Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days, keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies.
有何人喜好存活，愛慕長壽，得享美福，就要禁止舌頭不出惡言，嘴脣不說詭詐的話。

義人多有苦難。
027、Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret-it leads only to evil.
當止住怒氣，離棄忿怒。不要心懷不平，以致作惡。

作惡的，必被剪除。

一個義人所有的雖少，強過許多惡人的富餘。

愚昧人背道，必殺己身，愚頑人安逸，必害己命。

因爲得智慧勝過得銀子，其利益強如精金。
043、Seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.
心所憎惡的共有七樣，就是：高傲的眼，撒謊的舌，流無辜人血的手，圖謀惡計的心，飛跑行惡的腳，吐謊言的假見證，並弟兄中佈散分爭的人。

義人享福合城喜樂，惡人滅亡人都歡呼。

鐵磨鐵，磨出刃來。朋友相感，也是如此。

鼎爲煉銀，爐爲鍊金，人的稱讚也試煉人。

乾草割去，嫩草發現，

惡人雖無人追趕也逃跑，義人卻膽壯像獅子。

窮人欺壓貧民，好像暴雨衝沒糧食。

行爲純正的窮乏人，勝過行事乖僻的富足人。

誘惑正直人行惡道的，必掉在自己的坑裏。
112、He who works his land will have abundant food, but the one who chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty.
耕種自己田地的，必得飽食。追隨虛浮的，足受窮乏。
113、He who trusts in himself is a fool.
心中自是的，便是愚昧人。
114、Whoever flatters his neighbor is spreading a net for his feet.
諂媚鄰舍的，就是設網羅絆他的腳。
115、Mockers stir up a city, but wise men turn away anger.
褻慢人煽惑通城，智慧人止息衆怒。
116、A child left to himself disgraces his mother.
放縱的兒子，使母親羞愧。

人的高傲，必使他卑下。心裏謙遜的，必得尊榮。

121、For as churning the milk produces butter, and as twisting the nose produces blood, so stirring up anger produces strife.
搖牛奶必成奶油，扭鼻子必出血。照樣，激動怒氣必起爭端。
122、All streams flow into the sea, yet the sea is never full.
江河都往海里流，海卻不滿。
123、What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.
已有的事，後必再有。已行的事，後必再行。日光之下並無新事。

貪愛銀子的，不因得銀子知足。貪愛豐富的，也不因得利益知足。這也是虛空。5：10
