內容簡介：

作者簡介：
E.B.懷特(1899-1985)生於紐約蒙特弗農，畢業於康奈爾大學。也許你對美國作家E.B.懷特（e）感到陌生，也許你對《Charlotte'sWeb》（《夏洛的網》）不是很熟悉，但是一提起一部電影《精靈鼠小弟》，你馬上就知道了，這部電影就是根據E.B.懷特（e）的'書改編拍攝的。他還有一部童話叫《吹小號的天鵝》

It was arranged so that you could swing without being pushed. You climbed a ladder to the hayloft. Then, holding the rope, you stood at the edge and looked down, and were scared and dizzy. Then you straddled the knot, so that it acted as a seat. Then you got up all your nerve, took a deep breath, and jumped. For a second you seemed to be falling to the barn floor far below, but then suddenly the rope would begin to cathch you, and you would sail through the barn door going a mile a minute, with the wind whistling in your eyes and ears and hair.
