好消息，或許是因爲受CAAS聯盟申請系統的影響，今年通用網申Common Application做了一些變化，這對即將申請美國本科留學的同學來說，申請方便了很多，以下我們逐一看看這幾個變化。
首先，我們先來看看，什麼是Common Application?
Common Application通用申請，簡稱Common App, 一個用於申請美國517所高等院校(包括47個州和華盛頓特區)、奧地利、法國、德國、意大利、瑞士、英國等海外國家以及中國大陸部分中外合作高校的應用網站。
此次，通用網申Common Application到底有哪些變化呢?
1. 提前開放，且不清空去年的申請帳戶資訊
通 常，Common App會在6-7月間清空往年所有申請帳戶的資訊，並把網站關閉一段時間，然後在8月1日重啓啓動。而今年CommonApp不會關閉或清理舊帳戶，並且 提早開放了系統，目的是爲了讓很多早申請(申請ED, EA, REA)的同學，提早着手申請流程，熟悉網申系統。畢竟，精準、細緻、無缺漏地填寫CommonApp的各種表格，是一個技術含量大、耗時、耗力的任務。
2. 性別一欄，增加一項填寫
往年的性別只有male和female之分，而今年CommonApp系統增加了一欄文字欄(Text Box)，讓申請人自己描述性別。這和現代社會的進步和包容有關，比如有些做了變性手術的學生，他們可以在這一欄填自己想成爲的那個性別(雖然和我們大部 分出國黨無關，但這一細節真的體現了社會的進步，commonapp的進步)
3. 今年新增48所高校使用Commonapp系統
在原有的700多所成員院校的基礎上，今年將會有48個優秀的大學新加入Commonapp的龐大隊伍。這些新成員來自美國22個州，以及5個除美國之外的國家。其中有11個屬於美國公立學校，26個美國私立校，和11個國際學校。
以上是變化，不變的是文書題目，依然和去年一樣是下面5個，申請人任選：
1. Some students have a background, identity, interest, or talent that is so meaningful that they believe their application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, please share that story.
2. The lessons we take from failure can be fundamental to later success. Recount an incident or time when you experienced failure. How did it affect you, and what did you learn from the experience?
3. Reflect on a time when you challenged a belief or idea. What prompted you to act? Would you make the same decision again?
4. Describe a problem you’ve solved or a problem you’d like to solve. It can be an intellectual challenge, a research query, an ethical dilemma-anything that is of personal importance, no matter the scale. Explain its significance to you and what steps you took or could be taken to identify a solution.
5. Discuss an accomplishment or event, formal or informal, that marked your transition from childhood to adulthood within your culture, community, or family.
這些題目雖然與去年一模一樣，但與往年不同的是，申請2017年入學的同學(高二)現在就可以直接創建自己的Common App帳號了，申請期間的個人添加資訊一直會儲存，除非自己刪除。不瞭解申請流程的同學，可以有足夠的時間去了解，並按照相關要求準備材料和活動了。
